Notifications and Email

Updated: 10/15/26, 10:20:22 AM

This page covers in-site reach (Announcements → Notification Center) and email reach (Email Templates → Send Records). Menu path: System Management → Notifications.

Emails can only go out once the mail server (SMTP) has been configured in Payment Platform Configuration.

Announcements

Publish announcements to all users (admin panel and merchant panel). List columns: title, importance (normal / important), pinned, status, effective time.

Publishing flow: create an announcement (draft) → edit the body → publish. Form fields:

FieldDescription
Title / BodyThe body supports Markdown editing; the user side renders the formatting
Importance"Important" announcements are highlighted with a red title in the notification center
PinnedPinned announcements sort first in the notification list
Effective time / Expiry timeThe visibility window: users cannot see the announcement before the effective time or after the expiry time; leave both empty and it is visible immediately after publishing and never expires

Status flow: Draft → (publish) → Published → (take offline) → Offline. Both publishing and taking offline require confirmation: once published, the announcement is visible to all users; once offline, it no longer shows on the user side, but read records are kept.

Announcements are all-user broadcasts

Announcements have no "designated recipients" concept; to reach an individual user, use personal messages (in the current version these are produced by system business events, such as to-do reminders).

Notification Center (User View)

Every logged-in user enters their own notification center via the top-bar bell and sees an aggregated list of announcements + personal messages:

  • Filter "unread only"; important announcements have red titles and pinned ones carry a marker;
  • Opening a title marks it read automatically, and the bell's unread count refreshes accordingly;
  • "Mark all read" clears the unread list in one click.

The notification center operators see in their own accounts works the same as for merchant users.

Email Templates

The system ships six email scenarios: email binding verification code, password recovery verification code, bound-email change notice, password reset success notice, email unbinding verification code, and email unbinding notice.

Template rules:

  • Each scenario has separate Chinese / English settings; the send picks by the recipient's UI language; languages without customization fall back to the factory default copy;
  • Only the text content can be changed, never the email layout;
  • The edit drawer has five slots: email subject, email heading, body text, hint line (small gray text, may be left empty), and footer (small text below a divider, may be left empty);
  • Available variables (account, verification code, validity in minutes, new email, etc.) insert at the cursor on click and are replaced automatically at send time;
  • The right side previews the rendered result live (with sample data) — what you see is what you get;
  • "Load default copy" loads the factory text into the form for editing; "Send test email" sends the current draft to a specified inbox to verify the result;
  • "Restore Chinese / English default" resets that language's template back to the factory copy.

Email Send Records

Every outgoing email (business-triggered + test sends) leaves a record here:

  • Filters: recipient email, send status (success / failure / sending), business scenario;
  • Detail: failure reason, retry count, rendered body (switch to the raw HTML to troubleshoot styling issues);
  • Resend: available only for failed sends; useful for re-delivering after a temporary mail service outage;
  • Delete: clean up records of no value (such as test emails).
