Data Dictionary

Updated: 10/15/26, 10:20:22 AM

The data dictionary maintains the standardized list of "one kind of enumeration values" (e.g. Alipay auth types), feeding dropdown options in business forms and translations in lists. Menu path: System Management → Base Data → Data Dictionary.

It targets advanced scenarios that need to extend enumerations; day-to-day business never needs to touch this page.

Two-Level Structure

Dictionary (one enumeration) → dictionary items (enumeration values):

LevelKey fieldsRules
Dictionarydictionary code, dictionary name, i18n key, enabled status, built-in flagCode is globally unique, checked live on save
Dictionary itemitem code, i18n key, sort order, enabled statusCode is unique within its dictionary; there is no standalone name field — the display name comes entirely from translating the i18n key

Workflow: "Dictionary Config" in a dictionary list row opens that dictionary's item-management drawer; add, edit and delete dictionary items inside the drawer.

Display Names and i18n

A dictionary item's display name follows the i18n key → language-pack entry chain: with a correct key and an existing entry, it shows in the current language; when the entry is missing, the name column is empty. So when adding dictionary items, add the language-pack entries as well — otherwise the list shows no name.

Same mechanism as menu titles

Menu titles, role names and dictionary item names all use the same "store a key, translate per language" mechanism; switching languages takes effect immediately.

Built-in Dictionaries

Dictionaries flagged "built-in" are depended on by system features (e.g. the auth-type dropdown in the Alipay app key configuration). Do not disable or delete their items — the corresponding form would lose options. Give custom dictionaries their own code prefix to tell them apart.

How Business Consumes Them

  • Dropdown options: business forms pull a dictionary's enabled items by dictionary code to build the dropdown;
  • List translation: dictionary fields in lists translate into display names via "dictionary code + item code".

After a dictionary (or dictionary item) is disabled, dependent dropdowns no longer offer that option — existing data keeps the original value, though its translation may degrade to the raw code.
